From a 9/09 review published on TheFatTones.com

· [With The Fat Tones] you can always count on interesting lyrics, masterful playing, and passionate singing
· ["No Doubt" by Bobby] is an excellent example of how this band is continually taking the blues in interesting new directions
· [Bobby] displays a full spectrum of evocative guitar sounds ranging from tender whispers to scorching tirades
· Bob ... is a master of musical whimsy and innuendo ... his "Lap Dog" is a standout track on this album ... its lyrics are as cute and frisky as a puppy
· Robby Minton's drumming is especially creative ... he accentuates certain guitar notes by simultaneously tapping a cymbal
· In summary, this is yet another fine CD from this stellar band, which continues to produce uniquely creative and entertaining music

From a September Bluesletter magazine article about Mount Baker 2008!

When I asked some people who their favorite band there was, and number of them didn't hesitate to say it was The Fat Tones. They had a huge following wearing their T-shirts. Judging by the dancing in front of the stage I already knew that some people were going to mention them when I asked them who their favorite band was. I was impressed enough to buy one of their CD's and I only budgeted myself to buy two CD's there. Their harmonies are amazing, Bobby Patterson's guitar playing is world class, and their songs are guaranteed to make you dance

From a November Bluesletter magazine article about The Fat Tones!

Many of the band's songs have the ability to take up residence in your mind, to entertain you when your iPod's batteries die.

The band plays an eclectic mix of catchy original songs in styles ranging from "rock/funk/blues" to "1950s rockabilly" to "smooth jazz." Guitarist (and Chief Vocalist) Bobby Patterson, the band's charismatic front man, plays this mix of musical styles with passion, creativity, and ease.
